Fishing

Fishing

I never had any luck fishing as a youth as my father didn't really fish himself. It wasn't until my wife bought me a fishing pole when I was 26 that I began taking up the hobby under the tutelage of a coworker who was an avid fisherman. I really wouldn't call myself an avid fisherman and there is so much I still don't know about the sport.

More than trout

Up until 2018, the only thing I had ever caught beyond trout was green sunfish when I lived in St. George, Utah and fished the community ponds.

On two different occasions in spring 2018, I caught my first white bass, and a largemouth bass on accident (I didn't even know the pond I was fishing in had anything but trout in it).

If you want to teach me more, I'd love to learn!
