Grand Staircase-Escalante NM—Hole-in-the-Rock Road

2023-07-03 — Five of us completed the technical section of the route in about three hours. However, it was a 13.5-hour day from trailhead to trailhead including a leisure side trip to see the bottom end of Ringtail Canyon and resting at the river near Fence Canyon before hiking out. Rappelling into the Golden Cathedral was an amazing experience and that rappel alone was well worth the long day.

In my opinion, this route was an epic first-class canyon! I'm definitely returning.
