Stegosaur Slot

Stegosaur Slot

2023-07-15 — Two of us completed the south fork route in 4h 30m. All anchors were in good condition. The R1 is somewhat awkward as you almost rappel sideways down various fins. Make sure you remove your pack before entering the tight slot section. The time and season were just perfect for the sun to be hitting all the way to the floor of the slot section while we were there. No respite from the sun for us.

What to Expect
  • This route requires standard technical gear.
  • You can usually expect dry conditions.
  • Competent and smaller groups (4±) typically complete the route in 3–5 hours
In my opinion, this route was okay but is probably not a destination on its own.
