Southern Creamed Corn
Ingredients
- 2 pkg (10 oz) frozen kernel corn
- 1 C whipping cream
- 1 C milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 tsp sugar
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp melted butter
- 2 tsp flour
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except the last two in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Simmer 5 minutes and stir.
- Blend butter and flour with wire whisk and add to corn mixture
- This will thicken it to the desired consistency
- Mix well and remove from heat.
- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and put back on heat to boil for one minute.
