- The trailhead is reachable by all vehicles in most conditions. A 4x4 can slightly shorten the approach. From Moab proper, reaching the trailhead is about 45 minutes or so.
- Because of the anchor possibilities, it is recommended to have extra webbing and rope. Anchors can always be found, but are sometimes a fair distance back from the edge. 99 ft. of webbing recommended.
- The recommended route does NOT require a car shuttle.
- The OPTIONAL route requires a lengthy car shuttle and has a final rappel that is almost exactly 197 ft. If doing the optional route, make sure your rope is at least 197 ft. Given the long shuttle, the standard route is recommended over the OPTIONAL route,
