This route is just 15 minutes west of Capitol Reef National Park and near the town of Bicknell.
2023-11-04 — Three of us repeated the west fork route.
2023-10-14 — Two of us completed the west fork route in about four hours immediately after the annular eclipse. The approach is long but worth it. The long walk from the head of the canyon before R1 was very nice. R4 is kind of an awkward start if you're using a toggle-type device. It will put you over the edge before you end up weighting the anchor. The first anchor has some old webbing on it but is also backed up with newer webbing. Both are orange in color and should probably be a more muted color.
- West Fork: 5 rappels to 99 ft
- East Fork: 2 rappels to 50 ft
