Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler

Serves 8
Requires 12-inch, 6 quart oven


  • typical dump cobbler
    • 1 box cake mix
    • 1 large can sliced peaches (with juice)
    • 1 regular can sliced peaches (drained)
    • 1 stick of butter cut into eight slices
  • optional
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk


  1. pour cans of peaches into Dutch oven
  2. dump dry cake mix in the oven and flatten evenly without pushing into peaches and juices
  3. distribute butter slices evenly on top of dry cake mix
  4. add brown sugar if desired
  5. add sweetened condensed milk if desired
  6. bake at 350ºF until the cobbler appears to be done. It will be cakey and browned on top and juicy on the bottom.
